A Blow?

Last night Tottenham lost to Chelsea. Half of you have pushed the mouse over to the favourites list in disgust. I know there are only 2 or three readers who care about footie.
Mido, harshly sent off. Jose, Jol and the players involved, agree in that respect. The decisions that followed from Rob Styles, the 'referee' favoured the bigger club time after time. Essien deserved a red for up-ending Davids. Andy Ried penalised for nothing....Feeling quite frustrated. I'm not a petty person, but thats the way it was. We were winning in terms of chances and posession up to that point. Then the red, then the game was over. 10 men against 11, and the ref, despite a comeback in the second half. It was over.
HOWEVER, things are still looking up at N17. Encouraging, but frustrating.
OK,gotta forget it now and think about more important things. Work and Church.

Kaz, Sheff. Untd are top of the championship is it? Would love to see some tottnhm vs untd games next year! If Rob Styles referees many more tottenham games, we'll be joining you in the championship.

Louisa, things ok with me. Not much pleasure left at work, but pleasure never been my priority.
Would love to know how things are with your new school, infact I'll go check out your blog right now. . . .

What is Martin Jol's transfer policy? Is he just going nuts or does he get a cut from every fee. Jenas & the Korean left back in, Edman & Zigeler out. Does he have a game plan? Will Jenas play instead of Carrick alongside Davids? I can't see him leaving out a player whom he paid 7m for...

Its true some fans and members of the media are having trouble connecting the dots re the spurs transfer policy. But I must say that for me and the majority of tottenham fans it makes sense.

Davids is only here for a year or two at the most and a Carrick, jenas midfield will be the eventual plan. Right now Jenas will be on the bench pushing those two to perform, and performing when they don't. Not exactly cover, but maybe only just below carrick in the pecking order.

I think Lee is a more attacking and possibly all round better player than edman. Eric is a good player, (goal of the season!) but inconsistent and I think Lee is a step up.

Zeigler is out on loan. He's only a teenager and will be back in the squad after developing at hamburg for a year.

I agree, we need to get a settled team together now. But the squad building will continue!

It's all good!!!

Yeah bro!! Top o the league woooohooooo!!!! We often have a super run of results then turn rubbish though so i'll not hold my breath!!
Though we have a fortified team now, it is exciting.... maybe this season is the one!! And yes, Blades v Spurs would be super!! I just can't wait for the day Neil Warnock becomes a Prem manager, i think he will provide new energy to the premiership and probably, start loadsa arguments n make it real interestin!!!!
Come on da blades!!!!!!!

Nasty question: do you think NW will leave sheff. if they don't make it and he's offered a job at fulham, portsmouth etc.? I get the feeling he thinks of himself as prem manager material!
I agree with you (and him) I think he's a character and a good manager.Come on blades, be strong!

hmmm, yeah nasty question; after serious deliberation, (is that the right word?), i really think that Mr Warnock wouldn't leave the Lane unless he was told to leave.
he has been a passionate blade all his life so this is his dream job! Thats what i'd like to believe anyway, maybe the temptation would be too much for him if the right team came up with the right offer..... but i truly hope he's there for a very long time to come, never has a manager given us such incentive, determination, team spirit and kicks up the jacksy!!!!!

Warnock vs Mourhino press conference is what I want to see!

It'd be nice to see P.N.E. up there in the Prem too.

It'd be nice to have a million in my bank account too.
