it was a sad..sad night for spurs. luckily i only watched 1/2 the match on skysports and then went on to play football with the guys at work and was quietly satisfied as i kicked some grown-up butts! haha* well at least a small consolation right?=/

From what I gathered it sounds like you weren't creative enough full stop.
Carrick's turned ankle won't help that situation either although I say you go with the obvious plan B - stick Jenas and Davids in the middle and get the ball out to the wingers (Lennon, Reid) so that they can whip in crosses for the boys up front.
