H O L Y P L A C E S

Living in an entirely 'human designed' environment, its refreshing to wander along one of the 'accidental' spaces between buildings called 'alleys'. The only unplanned parts of a city like HK. I think that makes them special and somehow spiritually interesting.
I've had the pleasure of experiencing my mate Yan's Church a couple of times now. While the atmosphere is a bit too relentless for an old fart like me, it really is a euphoric inspirational place with high class music. The pastor is a young cool guy and Yan is going on a mission to the Phillipians very soon! Can you see Yan in this pic?
My church, St. Andrews is an Evangelical Anglican Church. A mixture of England and Heaven. Lately we are being invaded though by Australians. I say!

Being half African (my dad was born in Kenya), I have the dark rhythms of the mombassa jungle in my blood. Every other Sunday I play and sing with a Church band.

first one, COOL. you really did it. usually it's the case that people claim that they're going to do something but they never achieve it. you're good, mr. thompson.

the second one, HIP. i couldn't believe that you did mention the word church for that particular photo. nice dancing huh.

looking forward for more pictures. ;)

Yeah, that second photo really looks more like a nightclub and that was what was in my mind until I saw the word 'church.'

wbdjThanks, thanks, thanks. Nora, do you know who Mr. T is? Are you old enough to remember the A team?

You know what, things like my friends church really do make realise I am getting old...and traditional....

As soon as I have some free time in the summer I'll be trying to improve my photographic skills and develop my sense of design so that I can follow in your footsteps Cheryl...

Dez....what can I say...I am still wounded and frustrated by our failure to captalise on a good performance, and Li's error.

How cool is my church? I love my church. Though yes, I agree 'church' is not what people would say it is but it is! That was an awesome night.

NEIL THOMAS, WOULD YOU STOP DWELLING ON YOUR AGE?!?!? You're not even that old. I remember who Mr. T was. Seriously I do think you're actually acting older than your age, which is an even worse crime than merely feeling old in a room with young people in it! Get with it! Look at the way Kalun acts/speaks/dresses. No one in the whole wide world would guess he was 30!

I won't get started on the person who commented that they were old at 20! You have to be joking! Everyone on this planet over the age of 20 would LOVE to be in your shoes. Enjoy it while it lasts, the years go by very fast.

(I hope this doesn't read too harshly)

Yan...my dearest...take a step back....do you really, in your heart of hearts think I could carry Ka Lun's sense of fashion off?

I was born old!!! (I was also born with my tongue in my cheeck too, so don't fret)

Seriously though with friends like you, I will be young forever. You're a good influence Yan.
